In 1861, dau. Matilda's address on Marriage cerificate is No 5 Danes Terrace [sic], St Michael, Lincoln (cf 9 Danes Passage on Fanny's b.c. )43 1881 Census shows her living as Sarah Pannell, aged 55, at 5 Danes Passage, with her sons Charles Pannell, 27, Bricklayer, & Stephen, 20, Engine Fitter.44
The 66-yr-old Sarah Pannell shown in the 1901 Census is almost certainly not the same woman. The latter (b. Louth, Lincs.) lives at 53 Princess St (St Peter at Gowts) with sons Samuel, 40, Ironmoulder, Harry, 26, Boilermaker, and dau Rose, 29, (all b. Skirbeck, Lincs.) & 2 boarders. A Stephen Pannell, 40, Steam Engine Fitter, and Charles Pannell, 36, Engine Painter, are elsewhere in Lincoln.45
