“Bovye, within ye mannor of Beere, was granted by thabbot of Shireborn in
Kinge Henry 2 tyme, unto Wydo de Aggevill; and, in 54 yeere of Kinge Henry 3,
Alan Dagvill levied a fine unto William Walrond, of Bradfild, to ye use of
himself & Amisia his wief, daughter of ye said William, and ye heires of their
two bodies, with ye remainder unto John Walrond, brother of the said Amisia,
and unto his heires for ever. And after the death of Alan Dagvill, Amisia
his relict did grant ye said land, & Seler in Branscomb, unto John Walrond her
brother, & his heires, soe as this land hath ever sithens contynewed in ye
name & famyly of Walrond, & hath bine divers tymes granted by Walrond, of
Bradfild, unto younger sonnes;”
