I hope this is considered an OK message for this list as it is not strictly
my own research., but as you will see these are quite prominant SOM folk.
It may well be that some listers ancestors were C. M. or B by one of the
following -
I have in my possession a two volume Bible which strictly belongs to the
descendents of George Bodley WARREN and Ellen Meade KING who were married in
1835 in St. James' Church Taunton, SOM.
George Bodley WARREN was Curate of Dulverton at the time of his marriage.
Ellen Meade KING was the daughter of Richard Meade KING of Pyrland Hall,
Taunton. Their son Frederick King WARREN was Rector of Exton, SOM. There
is also a connection with the Rev. F.Peers Wickham of Winchester, Rev. W.E.
ROWLAND Vicar of Priston, W.G.W. WARREN of Meare Vicarage, Charlynch Rectory
SOM and India.
Four generations of this family are recorded in the Bibles.
These Bibles were found at a Car Boot sale in South Oxfordshire and were
'rescued' because the seller did not seem to care that rain was falling on
the writing.
Is anyone researching these names? Perhaps replies should be to me off-list
as it is stricly Non-Gen.
