I apologise - the information I gave you previously about the marriage of
Abraham Carslake and Ann Maeer came from the Parish register. Unfortunately
I see that for some reason I wrote Andrew instead of Abraham in my email. It
was actually Abraham, and I think this must be your man. The actual piece
reads "Abraham CARSLAKE, Sexton, widower, and Ann MAEER, widow, by banns -
May 22, June 4 and 11. Married June 13 1809 at Sidbury. Witnesses John MAEER
and Richard DARKE". As he was the sexton, do either of the other marriages
have that?
The John MAEER could be one of several. John, baptised 1750, son of Stephen
and Mary, married Elizabeth COX, and they had a number of children including
Anna, 1778, and John, 1782. Anna married John CHOWN and they were still
having babies in 1809.
Just for your records I have also found a marriage of John EBDON,
blacksmith, and Easter Blampin, Sep 24 1784 at Sidbury
