Lived in Ceres village when first married, then moved to Fairley. After father John Leigh d in 1886, Henry's family moved to Prospect in Feb 1887 and his brother William took over Fairley in May 1887, moving back from Diggora with his family. Both Henry & William had taken up land at Diggora in the 1870s, but Henry's children would all have been born at Fairley except the youngest, Horace, and probably Julia, the eldest.
Geelong Advertiser 24 Dec 1888 reported Henry Leigh Ceres had 3 fingers amputated from his left hand [farm machinery?]
