It refers to the Will dated 4 April 1749 of her first husband John Carslake and two Leases (one 10 Aug 1715, the other with date not filled in) “under the hand & seal of Joseph Copplestone late of Knightstone in Ottery St Mary Esq since dec’d”. Elizabeth now possesses All that messuage & tenement called Lower Watercombe in Branscombe, formerly in tenure of Joseph Hook dec’d but now in possession of Paul Bartlett as tenant to sd Elizabeth for residue of two terms of 99 years, one determined on the deaths of Joseph Hook of Branscombe yeoman & Susanna now Wife of [blank] Warren of Sidbury, and the other to commence from their deaths & be determinable on deaths of Joseph Holwell of Woodbury, yeoman.10
